About the Show

Created by the award-winning television producer Al Roker, Weather Hunters entertains and educates kids about the impact weather has on our daily lives, and inspires young kids to pursue a future in STEM.

Weather Hunters was created to advance kids’ awareness, curiosity, and understanding of the weather. The series aims to connect weather to a child’s local environment, modeling how you can observe, record, and communicate weather events and changes in the natural world.

Understanding that representation in the media is critical to helping shift the narrative on “who can do science” and “who can participate in science,” the Weather Hunters cast includes diverse characters to reinforce the importance of BIPOC contributions in meteorology and related fields.
